The idea behind wwwebshop.co.uk is to make e-commerce - selling online - as affordable as possible for small and medium sized independent businesses throughout Britain.

 

We have developed a system which we believe to be as simple and unrestricted as possible for those with little experience of selling products on the web. Existing services tend to dictate how you operate. Wwwebshop just puts your products 'out there' and helps you promote your shop to the world. You can continue running your current business and increase your income from the web whilst doing so - as we say in our advertising; You can sell while you sleep - and with our help and sensible promotion of your wwwebshop, you could eventually give up your offline business when the online sales figures reach the level that gives you that choice.

To achieve this aim we are encouraging hundreds of independent businesses to recognise the potential for selling products online (it really should be obvious by now) and be prepared to look at doing business in new ways and learning the ins and outs of doing so. We’re here to help at every stage and as technological developments continue we aim to be by your side all the way allowing you to develop the skills for managing a successful online business.

So how little will it cost?

Most e-commerce systems start out with at least several hundred pounds set-up or design charges and/or a fixed monthly cost regardless of whether you actually sell anything. These systems usually leave you to do your own promotion and will invariably sell loads of add-ons to increase their income. Wwwebshop has several extras if you CHOOSE to customise your online shop which we will gladly help you with - at additional cost - but we believe we have developed a system that makes BUYING as easy as possible and if you avoid over-complicating things and learn from us about how to promote your shop, you won’t need to spend more developing your wwwebshop - unless you want to of course.

 

Your initial wwwebshop will give you: 

1. A heading area with your own logo/branding next to Log In, Search, Checkout buttons

     - Introduce your shop and brand(s) - can include a brief text message.

2. Three animated slider banners to promote specific products and offers as required

     - We can design more of these as required from £25 per promotion 

3. Six visual category buttons to direct customers to products they are looking for.

     - You can add more at £10 per category if you need them

4. Up to 50 products spread across the categories each with up to five images.

     - Add more products as and when you want to grow your stock at £30 per ten items.

5. A Special Offer facility to ‘switch on’ when you want to run a sale or move slow stock.

     - Your own stock spreadsheet can be added to and uploaded when required.

 

The Standard wwwebshop is available for as little as £150 set-up and no monthly charges. You set your prices to allow for a 10-20% commission* which we only take when you sell products. All orders come through our central system to ensure reliable order processing and data that will help us help you develop your range with products that sell well and reduce stock that doesn’t sell.

 

*Wwwebshop commission charges are variable dependent upon the initial set-up charge you are happy to pay e.g. pay £350 and the maximum commission charge will be 15%.  Pay £500 to qualify for a maximum commission rate of 10%. All commission rates are negotiable dependent upon sales levels.

 

The standard Merchant transaction charge (typically 4-5%) will be charged by your bank/PayPal for each transaction so ensure you factor this into your pricing calculations.

A very simple example of a site without categories can be seen at envilleales.biz where there are just eight products. This site is accessed from the company’s own website as well as on its own domain in order to sell their promotional merchandise.
